Buildmax Distributors, a derivative of Araf Industries, has been supplying Hardware, Building and Decorative Materials since 2001. The company has grown from humble beginnings into one of the largest independent hardware, building materials and décor distributors. Buildmax currently services approximately 1200 customers throughout Southern Africa, consisting of wholesalers, retailers and chain stores.
Our company focuses on a key range of hardware products and offers professional, medium and entry level hardware items via its registered brands – “AGARDO”; “BRUNO”: “TORNADDO”; “MAJISTIQ”; “CLOUD 9”; “RISODO”; “VAULT”. Our product catalogue numbers approximately 2500 product lines. Coupled with sought after merchandise, Buildmax manages a fully-fledged in house logistical system comprising a fleet of 20 vehicles, which allows the company to deliver efficiently to most parts of Southern Africa.
Buildmax sources 90% of its merchandise from foreign sources via imports from countries such as China, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey. We support Local Manufacturers from Durban, Johannesburg, George. We have developed key supply relationships and supply agreements with over 100 manufacturers and a further number of trading companies. The company has invested in numerous moulds and designs, and continuously innovates in the hardware industry to maintain its competitive advantage.
The company is currently based in Glen Anil, Durban, and operates from a state of the art double volume 5000sq.m warehouse facility overlooking the N2 freeway. Buildmax employs 100 staff members and 12 sales representatives. Our sales teams provides representation and support throughout South Africa as well as SADEC countries such as, Lesotho, Botswana and Namibia.
